Invitations

My sister in law emailed me a few weeks ago to help her plan a bridal shower. She's been hired to put one on. She is the queen of parties. She extremely talented and the word is out! For this shower the bride's colors are turquoise, red and black. My sis wasn't able to find invitations in her color scheme at all. So she came to me (we've teamed up several times) so I was thrilled when she asked me to design some. I just wish we didn't live across the country from each other...boy could we have some fun! So here is the finished design (obviously the address and #'s were changed).

Anyone else addicted to Pinterest? I find myself daydreaming and spending a lot of time there. But I guess every girl needs to daydream now and then...right? I came across this cute kitchen door and then a few days later one of my customers contacted me and wanted the same vinyl. I was excited to do because I already planned on doing mine and it got a jump start on it! So here is the Pinterest door...

Really cute...huh?

I know we just got done with Christmas...but here comes Valentines whether we want it too or not! I started decorating my shelves last night. I am getting two new shelves that I can't wait to share with you. Hopefully by the end of the week! In the meantime...I did this cute little  plate last night. Art Journal

I've taken the last week off and I really enjoyed it. Not that I don't love doing vinyl...but it was wonderful to spend time with Ry, my kids and extended family. We did a lot of relaxing..movie watching and just hanging out (something we don't very often).  I also took some time to do some creating in my art journal. I started taking mixed media classes about a year ago and I am totally addicted. For me it is truly relaxing, its get your hands dirty and putting on paper or canvas my hopes and dreams or even the battles I am facing. It just calms me. I thought I would share one entry with you today. I feel like it's appropriate with the new year. It's entitled spread your wings and fly. I hope all of you will have joy in 2012.
