The Wall

Many of you know my Scrap Room has been a real work in progress. It's moved location several times in my house and has been through all different furniture. It's nothing fancy or expensive...but it's my favorite room in my house. Why you ask? Simple...it's the room I breathe in! This room finally got a much needed addition to it. And I love it! Many of you asked for me to post pictures so here it is! (Thank you Heather for all your help and wall paper...it wouldn't have turned out near as wonderful without you!)

calendar in progress

The last few years I have made a calendar for my scrap room. It is something I love...and by the end of the year it becomes one of those things I would grab if the house was on fire. I always sit and do a few months at a time.

Playing Around

About a year ago Ryan received a very special family heirloom from my Mom. It was my grandpa's leather working tools. It has been the most wonderful gift for both of us! I am sure you are thinking why would that be?  It's simple...I love to papercraft and many nights that I would like to play in my scraproom  I feel to guilty hiding away in their by myself.  Now that Ry has a hobby he can do along side me...it has been so much fun. He works on leather...while I play around with paper. It's a great combination and we get in a lot of good conversation. It has been a real gift. Anyway...here a few cards I made the other night in one of our crafting sessions!

Valentines Cards

One of my New Year Resolutions is adding more to my blog! Sorry for the long absence, it's not been a lack of crafting...just a lack of posting them. So do stay tuned for more posts a lot more regularly. After Christmas we always head up to the cabin for a week. It is one of my favorite traditions and I love being up to the cabin in the winter. There is something so relaxing and so peaceful in about it. While there this time we received almost 3 feet of new snow. It left me a lot of time to play with my boys and to scrap. I was able to make about 25 Valentine's cards that I've sent to my brother who is currently serving in Afghanistan. He we will be able to share them with those he is stationed with, so they can send Valentines home to their loved ones. I didn't do a lot of embellishing on these cards simply because it adds bulk to them and having to ship them there and back I didn't want them looking hammered by the time the recipient actually receives it. Hope it inspires you to make a love note for someone you love!
